Bout a 100 quid too much imo. Might have tempted me if about 399 to part with the 6700xt but nah.

Tho looks like they discounted the gainward already as its now 549 quid.

Wow i just saw them 4070s are using a 192bit bus, why, 4070s if this was years ago would be 256bit bus at least, 192 is for more budget cards. xx70 ones would normally be classed between med-high end. Least back in the old days.

Neither Nvidia nor AMD are having a good time with brand new GPU demand right now because there's so many good deals right now for previous generation cards on the 2nd hand market
Second hand market would not matter if they'd priced the 40 series sensibly.

4070 should be £100 cheaper at least and because it isn't people are rightly looking at a used 3080ti for £500 and going for that.

Yeah exactly. The 3080 ti also pulls away at 4k and almost matches the 4070 ti on average at that res and that's a £700-800 card.

It would be nice to think nvidia might learn a lesson from the complete lack of demand this generation, but it appears they have already moved on to the next big thing and are making an absolute killing in the datacenter with AI...

Does anyone know if Alan Wake 2 come with any of the 4070 cards?

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lp/nvidia-alan-wake-2

The banner on the front page suggests the promotion is still running, however I can't see it mentioned on any of the product pages.
They would only have so many codes and if the product page does not mention it I would assume no.

failing that give them a call tomorrow or post a webnote through the site

However the Gainward Ghost 4070 has just dropped to £539.99.

I might have to resist the temptation and see what Black Friday/Cyber Monday brings for the Nvidia Cards.
