I'll give it a few months see if I hear about any problems. The Seasonic cable I use looks pretty neat. :)
 
Yes I would not even entertain the thought of right angle cables or aftermarket cables, I would not even use the Nvidia bundled cable. It's Corsair official cable only. Been that way since day 1.

Asus cards are always well overpriced.
Some of their 4080s were almost the same price as a 4090FE

Bought my last Nvidia card on finance and paid only £50 interest total, If you're clever when using finance you don't end up in silly debt territory.

£50 total over the course of a payback period I think is ok for the convenience, £100+ is a no go zone for me.

the trick to connecting the new 12v socket is to plug the adapter before inserting gpu in case, shouldnt be an issue.. nvidia here taking the right approach unlike amd, iterating on the design to make it more robust

Buying (discretionary) depreciating electronics (that are used by most individual consumers as video game toys) on debt. Holy geez, wow.

Probably a good thing people won't be able to snag one of these on finance at launch.

Why not? There is plenty of 0% cc available, you can get 2yrs for a total of 3.3% - buying with cash is actually dumber than credit if you know how to invest. I have ~100k cc debt, that earned me ~10k net after 2yrs accounting for the interest paid on the cc.
Not to mention you are safer buying on cc than on the dc.

I don't get the issue, Most people keep their cards for 2+ years, I paid a total of £50 interest over the period in which I paid monthly. I really don't get the outrage.

£2499 is the expected price, no surprise at that number. At least it will make getting one on day one easier. Biggest fail was the 3080 launching for $699 during the covid money printing handout era, that will never happen again!
