NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Does anyone have one of the Zotac 5070ti cards?
It’s really hard to find information online about what the thermals and fan noise is like.

Looking at the website specs, the coolers on the 5070ti are the same ones used on the 5080 equivalent, so if anything the 5070ti is going to run a little bit cooler and quieter than the 5080.

I've got the 5080 Solid OC and on default settings it runs at like 30% fan and is virtually silent compared to the rest of my PC, even fully overclocked I've got it set to about 60% fan and it runs at low to mid 50'sC and is still quieter than my CPU AIO cooler.

Looks like the 9070XT's are being jacked in price too. Shame because the RRP of the 5070 Ti, and especially 9070XT is actually decent, but I guess retailers can charge whatever they like.
an absolute shame, nothing short of a tragedy for consumers.

Ive clocked only two places that is selling 5090s on strict RRPs, such as a MSI Ventus 5090 for £1939.00 or the Asus Astral 5090 for £2659.99 instead of the £3000+ in other places

what's the benefits of ordering or paying with Amazon?

I mean for something of that value has to be done via credit card because of the extra protections
When the 4090 launched, OCUK's direct payment systems fell over and the only way I could get an order through was via Amazon.

Ah... happy days, when if you were fast and well-prepared you actually had a chance of getting a card on launch day.

There's no stopping this ROP train...

It looks like it's just PIN 2 that's the problem. Are you going to try a different cable?

Nope, not happy with the power distribution - there's still a 2.5 to 3 Amp differential across the power lines

Reseating made no difference, contacted corsair and they are sending a new cable out free of charge.

I've had the chance to buy the Palit 5090 the few times it's come in stock. It's just over £2.2k

Is there a reason why it's much cheaper than the others?
Well the looks are subjective and it suppose to be louder than most AIB's but it performs mostly the same the only diff it is a 575w card

While most are 600w

That's the card I'm after, largely because it is cheaper and no-frills. I've missed every drop so far, though, including one this morning. 25th in line at the queues place.

Also that particular card is very nice looking, pics dont do it justice, its huge so should have good cooling and looks well built, installing it vertically will look decent too and the £2200 asking price is reasonable for a 5090 that is £2500 onwards,

Temps and noise

Palit GeForce RTX 5090 GameRock Review

Looking at that table you can see when gaming the Palit reaches 84 degrees with a fan speed of 1817rpm on the quiet bios, compared to say the Suprim which is 70 degrees / 1651rpm. Depends if you think -14 degrees and a bit of noise is worth an extra £700

I personally think the gamerock looks great. Problem is the card is boxed in and has smaller fans than other cards which is the reason why it's hotter and louder. That said, once undervolted, they are supposed to have thermal and noise performance figures in line with most other cards. Also with it being the cheapest, you are likely to lose less money when reselling it
