NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Just installed Indy Jones on the Astral 5090 running at stock out of the box settings - Game at 4k, all max settings, path tracing, DLSS4 balanced, using 23gb Vram, 64 degrees with GPU fans running at 50%, pulling 510w and getting 249 Fps !

I think it's pretty common in this community for people to be hypersensitive to certain sounds and so they can't just get over it.
Yea, that's my story with a duo D5 pump unit from EKWB. Between 1900-2100 RPM it produces a "vroooooooo" sort of noise, so I just altered the pump curve to jump straight to 2200 RPM from 1850RPM, so I rarely hear it.

Might as well increase some graphic settings, 100+ FPS it's all the same.

Just checked barcode site, finally got an ETA for my card so hopefully the suprim airs should be in this week! @Nitefly you had a gander at yours? would assume youll have the same dates as me being a couple points ahead?

As a follow up to this Undervolting guide I made yesterday, could anyone with a Aorus Master/Suprim/Astral or AIO 5090 model see how far they can push clocks at 0.890? I'd also be curious about the Steel Nomad score.

I want to figure out how much further than a FE some models can get at that specific voltage (which keeps the card under 450w).

Thanks!

Here's my results (found the last bit of your guide where you simply say "Go down" hard to follow but got there in the end). I should say my rig isn't fully set up yet as I only put it together yesterday

Astral 5090 @4k

Steel Nomad benchmark at stock:
Score 11541 Graphics test 115.41fps 2835Mhz 594Watts 66 degrees

Steel Nomad 0.890 / 2827Mhz undervolt:
Score 11321 Graphics test 113.21fps 2655Mhz 460Watts 63 degrees

2% performance loss, 134Watt / 23% reduction in power consumption (not sure why the Nomad score is low but 3d Mark does give a warning my graphics driver is not approved. It is the latest 572.75)

I have to say that Steel Nomad is demanding and I have not seen any games with the card at stock pulling anywhere near 600w.

By way of real world example with Diablo 4 I get the following results:

Stock: 58 degrees, 2900Mhz, 376w, 211fps
0.890 / 2827Mhz undervolt: 53 degrees, 2677Mhz, 298w, 252fps
Therefore in real world game application the undervolt reduces temps by 9%, reduces power draw by 78W/21% BUT increases fps by 19%

In Kingdom Come 2:
Stock: 62 degrees, 2835Mhz, 455w, 170fps
0.890 / 2827Mhz undervolt: 58 degrees, 2595Mhz, 335w, 172fps
So with undervolt 7% cooler, 120W/27% less power, gain 1%fps

My Smart meter will be happy.

Why did you choose these figures as I've seen other guides recommending 870mv / 2572Mhz?

Mine has been showing as follows for a week or so:

Estimates Dispatch Date: 21st Mar - 22nd Mar.

What’s yours now showing?
