NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

There might be a mod to unlock it but using mods in Elden ring = getting account banned

Well if the 5090 is only using 200w I would assume it has something related to this? I would explore other flagship cards and see if they are only pulling similar power and then it really is a poor choice of game to base a statement on.

I have been playing space marine 2. On my 5080 it reports high Fps like 120+ this is without frame gen but it feels choppy. However on my 5090 it smooth as silk but GPU usage is stuck at 75% roughly. I don't know what these drivers are all about.

Only if you use the mod whilst launching in online mode.

Or go online mode with an iffy save.

A mere ‘frame rate unlock’ ought to be OK. But requires some caution, yes

That's working as intended. It doesn't need more than 200w to run Elden Ring...
You really want it to pull 600w when it doesn't need to? LOL

I'm beginning to think that some people don't even play games on these cards, they just look at their colourful customised stat overlay that takes up 1/8th of their screen and convince themselves that something must be wrong.

Isn't Eldon ring capped to 60 fps?
It is, but I play with Flawless Widescreen. It's an app designed for ultrawide monitor resolutions, it also removes FPS cap, vignette, allows FoW adjust etc. Elden Ring pretty much runs at 50% performance of the 5090 imo.

Likely a bug but apparently if you use "Smooth Motion" on the 5000 series it randomly lowers your memory clock.
