I have set up the Shield to an external drive.

I have 2 servers - Desktop and Shield, set PC and Shield to Shield

I have been able to add the media that was on the HDD to the Plex Tv shows and Movie folders.

However, how do you add or delete stuff to/from the HDD?

On my desktop i can see network drive "Shield" (click on only says "internal") and there is also "Plex Media Server", but i cannot see the drive that is attached - very frustrating.

I have the 2018 Shield TV, attached to it, is a 4TB Seagate drive with all the media files on it - I believe that I mounted it as an 'extended' volume, rather than a removable one.

PMS runs from the Shield, but I administer it via the web interface, on a PC - there's an option within Settings/Server (show the Advanced) and on Library, there's an option to Allow media deletion - that will allow you to delete files via Plex on the Shield.

I can also add/remove media to the Seagate drive via the PC - there's a folder called NVIDIA_SHIELD, and within here, I have created a sub-folder called Media; all my different media folders then exist within this location. Iirc, you need to have you files within this NVIDIA_SHIELD folder, in order to modify the content.
