So i finally got a new TV, picked up an LG C6 OLED, bought an nvidia Shield and put Kodi on it. All works fine, or does it? Something just doesnt seem quite right and I can't put my finger on it.

When I watch movies it seems as though something funny is going on with the framerate, but it could just be that I'm not adjusted to my new TV. It's really hard to explain, but for example Secret Life of Pets on Sky Q in UHD looks really smooth and great, if I play it though Kodi from a file it doesn't look quite as smooth. Same issue with Kong Skull Island. is it my eyes? Is it actually better through Kodi and I'm used to not such a good TV? Does anyone even know what I mean or am I crazy?

EDIT : Should mention that I don't notice it when watching the same file through my monitor or the old TV using a PC with KODI.

Ive tried Kodi and the SPMC branch with these settings

adjust display refresh rate = on start / stop
pause during refresh change = 3.0 seconds
sync playback to display = off
Videos > Acceleration

enable HQ scalers = low
allow hardware acceleration - Mediacodec (Surface) = off
allow hardware acceleration - Mediacodec = on
accelerate MPEG2 = HD and up
accelerate MPEG4 = HD and up
accelerate h264 = HD and up
accelerate hevc = HD and up
System > Video Output

set GUI resolution limit = unlimited
vertical blank sync = always enabled
OSD Video Settings

While playing a video, go to the OSD > Video Settings

deinterlace video = auto
deinterlace method (SD/software) = yadif (2x)
deinterlace method (HD/hardware accelerated) = bob inverted
video scaling method = lanczos3 - optimised

and these on my tv

Yeah that's the exact page I used thanks. I think I've kinda solved it by using TruMotion and setting Dejudder and Deblur to 0. Real Cinema is greyed out in TV options which is for 24p content and I cant enable it so thats not helpful
