Hi guys just wondering which is the best way forward here .. i have an OLED65C9PLA and want to run a media server though im not clued up with the process. All i need is to run films from storage to the tv along with pics and music and make it very easy to do so. Asked around and some guys say nvidia shield and some say nas .. so not knowing much about these ..which one would you suggest if im talking about up to 4 terrabytes of files. ?

A media server tends to look like Plex/emby/JellyFin, while this is technically possible on a Shield, literally every person I know who has tried to run PMS on a Shield and told me it was fine has had significant corruption issues. Shield is a great client, but it’s not a good server.

I presume by 4TB you mean 4GB, if so, that’s nothing, I have 40GB files and no issues. What I would suggest is some wider consideration here. You can either pay through the nose for something like a Synology, or build/buy a suitable desktop and invest some time in learning how to use something simple like UnRAID, Plex via docker and hardware transcoding. It’ll be an expandable system that can grow with you, Synology is much, much more limited.

If it's a usb drive just plug into the TV and use its built in apps. You router might have a built in dlna server and you could plug into that, mine does. Save you buying extra hardware :)

Firestick, powered hub and y cable is another option.
