nvidia shield pro 2019 model question.

Hi all
i am thinking of getting a shield pro to stream my pc games to another room. I know it can stream your steam library and that you can also get games from steam straight from the shield. i am wondering if it can stream any game from my pc? as i would also like to stream both origin and battle.net as well as other games too not on steam.

I'm not sure, but I think you can add in specific games via their .exe files or shortcuts.

If the Game Shows up (so supported) in GFE then it will play from your PC (Game Stream) so nothing to do with online side of it.

It used to work like that but from what I found they stopped you playing any game at all. It used to say this game isnt tested with gforce now and some would work some wouldn't. Now it wont let me launch a game unless its listed. You can kind of get around it though buy downloading the free steam link app and doing it that way but your PC needs to be turned on

I will try later with FarCry 4 (still not completed it as not as good as 3) as it shows up on my homescreen.

Steam link will play any game in steam and parsec will allow you to stream the desktop and therefore anything on it but requires mouse / tracpad to operate.

I do this on my 2 shield pros and its fine, my actual gaming pc is located in a rack without monitor!

What resolutions can the shield and steam link do if i may ask. Was thinking to get a shield pro for my 4k tv since my pc is in another room but i take it 4k would be too much for streaming?

Depends on your WIFI/Ethernet connection but it does up to 4K 120 AFAIR, there is a setting to test and leave at Auto or change to the Max settings.
