Nvidia Shield TV dvb-t/t2 tuner

Has anyone run a USB dvb-t/t2 tuner directly through the Live Channels Android TV app on an Nvidia Shield TV or does it need to be run through Plex? A brief google throws up a lot of lack of google support of dualHD tuners.

If the Plex server on the shield TV is able to connect to a hd homerun tuner it should work. Have to checked in the Plex forums?

Was not really a Plex question - was more about the native Android TV Live Channels app. Seems to have US TV format support but nothing clear about whether or not it works with the EU TV standards nevermind if it has EPG or anything.

I can run my HDHomeRun direct into the live channels on shield tv. Don’t have a plex server etc. In all honesty I’ve tried with tv tuners on computers for years and they have always disappointed me. It’s a shame.
