I did order one from that rainforest website from America, only for the UK courier to reject it as it wasn't allowed in the country all because the controller had a battery in it!!! They sent it back and I got a refund, waste of time. I know other people got their's delivered.
No idea when its actually being release here, taking the biscuit.

Sounds like it services a lot of platforms that won't be available over here. Not sure I see the point?

Just looking to stream pc games and use kodi. Don't fancy the steam controllers. Already invested in a 10gig home network ready for the beast. Sadly no dates mentioned any were.

It appeared on the UK site briefly and I asked the missus for it for my Birthday and somehow she managed to get it. It is the US version so I have to use a plug adapter but it works fine with steam games, W3 from GoG is a little ropey (looks really dark) and the borders sometimes don't fit the TV (I have a 32inch 1440p monitor at desktop and a 55in 1080p Samsung TV linked to Shield so might have to change settings on desktop first).

Kodi works fine on it, I have shield connected to to an Asus RT65U router which is connected to my Superhub 2 in Modem mode so it has plenty of bandwidth.

Grid was working lovely, played some Lego games on the stream service though I have read that the Grid feature is going to become a subscription service which kinda sucks as the US will have had it for free for ages and as soon as us mugs in Europe and the UK get it on full release there's going to probably be somewhere in the region of £9.99 (i think, maybe a £39.99 yearly?) a month subscription to use one of the key features.

All in all it's a good bit of kit, needs some minor tweaks but much better option than an ****** steambox. Also Steam Big Picture mode runs fine on Shield
