Hi guys.

Just a quick question. I currently have a watercooled MSI nVidia GTX280 preoverclocked. Was wondering if I can SLI this with a standard GTX280 and maybe manually overclock it or run it as standard, will that work?

Thanks.

SLi will run at the slowest card I believe it may attempt to over clock the slower card, but I m a crossfire user and there for I don't know

Depends generally its one of 2 outcomes:

Both cards run at the speed of the card in primary slot
Both cards run at the speed of the slowest card

But even then that doesn't always happen - I've even seen the cards running at their own individual clock speeds before - which makes for some jerky rendering when the clocks are 20-25% apart :S

So always check with GPU-Z what the cards are doing in 3D mode and make sure you clock them to the same speed manually if needed.

The 1st card:
MSI NGTX280 OC HydroGen
Core Clock: 700MHz
Memory: 1150Mhz
Shader: 1400MHz

The 2nd Card:
BFG GTX280 OC:
Core Clock: 615MHz
Memory: 1107MHz
Shader: 1350MHz

Basically, what I'm saying is that I've pushed the settings a little on the BFG card to match the MSI one exactly. I have checked GPU-Z and it reports that the BFG is operating at the MSI specifications. :)
