NVIDIA SLI Gains ?

Hi Have one gpu thinking off getting another to run along side in SLI, what will difference will I see ?

double the perfomance ?

PS it will another Identical one.

I at one stage had 2x 8800GTx's and found there to be only about a 20% gain unless i had my processor severely overclocked ie to about 3.6 so i sold the second card

The higher the resolution you use, the bigger the gain you'll likely see. At 1280x1024 you won't see much benefit unless the game is heavily GPU limited. Once you're upto 1920x1280 you can get anything upto a 80% gain.

Well a 20 inch TFT is either going to be 1680x1050 or 1600x1200 so id say yes, it would be worth it

just tried 1600*1200 in cod4 and the gaming is so much better with the cross hair aiming spot on
