Hi,i'm a total noob when it comes to SLI :p I have just installed an Nvidia 7950GX2 & downloaded the newest drivers from Nvidia 91.31.Now the games i play are "Red Orchestra" & "Day Of Defeat Source" these are meant to be included in the Nvidia drivers,so when i launch either of the games do the drivers know this & set the card to SLI? or do i have to do this manualy?
And also what is the best setting for multi-gpu performance mode?

I'm a bit lost with it all at the moment so please excuse my noobness :D

make sure your bios is set to run the cards in li because i made this mistake when i got my pair of cards  also that gentlemen said above make sure your nvida control panel is put in to multi gpu load.

Also many of todays game have the files to run sli such as fear and cod 2 built in them and even if it a slitley old game just go on to it website and download the lastest patch it is shore to support sli

Also good luck mate ;)

Just a note. I looked through all the game profiles in the 91.31 drivers and most of them only have single gpu rendering enabled. I guess this means that it is only using a single card so i have changed all the profiles for the games i have to either alternate frame 2 or what seems to work best. Most of the profiles also have multiple display performance mode which, if i remember right has no relevance in Sli as you can only have one display. I only have one anyway so i have changed all my profiles to single display performance mode.

Unless of course i have my wires crossed. Everything seems to be ok though and i can still run all the games i have maxxed out at 1600x1200.

Thank's for the replies guys, one more thing i'm using the latest drivers & when using the classic control panel nothing seems to come up regarding SLI.I have switched to new the control panel & it shows sli set to use multi gpu setting which is correct & also shows 2 x 7950 gpu's in device manager. Now when i had my single 7900GTX is showed in the classic control panel SLI settings with the 7950 it don't....any reason why or doe's it know that there is sli gpu's already & this is why it don't come up?
To be honest why don't Nvidia or it's partners supply an sli user manual with the card explaining what everything doe's.
