Nvidia Surround - exceptions?

Hi,

I've just set up 3 monitors running off Nvidia 670.
I seem to have just about got Surround up and running, but I was wondering, is it possible to get it so some games only run on 1 monitor and the other continue displaying Windows.

I previously had a main monitor and a smaller secondary monitor. I only gamed on the main monitor and had the second monitor showing temps and such. Is there a way that I can do that with 3 monitors in certain games without having to change my whole setup?

I'm also getting an issue with resolution. It says it's 5760*1080 but it looks more like 800*600!

Also, the 2 side monitors seem to stretch the image a lot. Is that how they're supposed to work?

I'm using 2 x 670s (was going to be 3, but that didn't work out well).
I'm connecting using 2 DVI ports on card 1 and 1 DVI port on card 2.
I'm using 3 of the 120Hz Samsung monitors that were on offer (S23A700D).

Cleeecooo, not so much fuzzy as blocky. Windows is fine, but not games.
Actually saying that it happens in Windows too sometimes, but if I re-select the resolution then it's fine.

Also, with surround, are the monitors supposed to be flat or are the two side monitors supposed to be angled?

I believe I've figured out what the problem is/was!

Due to the distance between the 3rd monitor and the base unit I bought new DVI cables.
I bought 3 as a friend said they should probably all use the same length cables to avoid latency to the monitor with the longest cable.

It seems as if these cables don't support 120Hz and when games or Windows tried to use 120Hz they went a bit wrong. Setting the games to use 60Hz fixes the blockyness issue, but still leaves the stretched look on the side monitors.

So has anyone successfully replaced the DVI cables and still got 120Hz? If so, which ones did you use?

Secondly, what can I do about the stretched picture on the side monitors?

I did check and the description on the auction site said they were DVD-D Dual Link. I made sure of this before I bought them.

So either despite the number of pins they're not DVI-D Dual Link or not all DVI-Dual Link cables will work.

Is there a max length the cable can be for 120Hz?
Also, was my friend right, do they all need to be the same length?

Yeah, pretty sure none of them are 120Hz capable.

I'd buy a new one, but I don't know what went wrong with the last ones I bought and don't want to make the same mistake again.
