IS there a setting in the monitor's OSD to prevent it from scaling the input?

This sounds very similar to a problem I had with 2 x identical Acer 21.5" LCD's and and 1x LG 21.5" LCD and could not get a resolution of 5760 x 1080. I spent several hours trying to sort this but like you the 3rd monitor (my LG) would only go to a max resolution of 1280 x 1024. In the end, after trying tonnes of suggestions on the net (that didn't work), the only solution was to buy another identical Acer 21.5" LCD. And the cables I used throughout all were identical DVI's.
Once I had 3 identical Acers, NVidia Surround worked instantly!
