I am looking into buying a GTX460, and I understand that to run Surround you need 2 nVidia cards, but I was wondering if I would be able to run Surround (no 3D Vision by the way) using one 460 and for example a GT200 series card in SLI?

This is my first post so id like to say Hi also :)

Oh right.

Well that popped my bubble of Surround.
I dont think I would be able to afford a second GTX460 you see.

Anyway, thanks for the reply.

EDIT

I have second question. I am using a 8600GT 256mb currently, and would I be able to run a second one that is 512mb in SLi?

I have never used SLi before so am a total noob.
Thanks

I would say 8600GT SLi isn't worth it, especially not with a 256MB card.

If you want surround gaming, then I'd suggest you buy a 5850 as you only need one ATi card to have surround gaming.
