Hello there ive just setup 2 monitors together i was just wondering how i setup just to use one for internet, monitoring apps etc. Right now when i run a game they will both go into it but 1 will stay black. So id like the second screen not to launch at all and stay on desktop

disable surround and just use the windows extended desktop. the only time to use surround really is if your running an app that you want to span all screens, i find i have to switch it on and off depending what i'm doing, i only put it on for certain games, otherwise its just windows extended desktop.

Go to nvidia CP
There should be an option on the left hand side to do with setting up multiple monitors
Within that there should be something along the lines of "extend this display"

Make sure surround is disabled.

The screen you want looks something like this:

When you get here, right click on the second monitor and there should be an option regarding extending it.

Apologies if I got anything wrong, I'm trying to do this from memory
