" GeForced money making chip designed Nvidia has worked in silence and solitude and managed to tape out its upcoming high-end-oriented G92 chip on schedule. The 65nm part is set to power the high-end models of the GeForce 9 series and will bring PCI-Express 2.0 support for Nvidia cards.

The first G92 cards will arrive sometime in November and will replace the GeForce 8800 GTX and Ultra at the top of the graphics chain. The chip's specifications are still up in the air but one can expect significantly more transistors than on the G80 and more Stream Processors. And if we're really lucky, a 512-bit memory bus. Wait for it. "

I knew that G92 would be a high-end component and that it would be due out in November. :)

Yes it was wishful thinking, but now I just can't wait.

Woohoo!. Nice one. I'm hoping for an upgrade around that time if things go right.

An exciting time when a company that is still top dog releases a new powerhouse as it rarely happens.

I knew of this

Lay down the red carpet folks. Royalty has arrived with insider knowledge. Lets all sit and get warmed by the hot air that passes. (Sarcasm doesn't cover it) :D

Nothing wrong with a card like 8800GTX being top for 1 year, its not milking it, its more so ripping off peeps to release a new card every 6months if not even needed. :)

I bet anyone who bought a 8800GTX at launch is well happy as its very rare these days to have your card last so long at top and infact its still got lot of life in it. ;)

Ya I was going to chime in about the 8600's/8500's being 6months after 8800GTX so having Purevideo2 but I was not sure about the 8800GTS's so kept quiet lol.

Woohoo so the G92 is coming November, nice.

ATi's next card is not due till around next July/August, so thats another good lead Nvidia will have on them. :D

All ATi are releasing before that is their own version of of the GX2 in January, complete madness. :p

New PSU+G92 around late November for me I think then.

Why a new PSU? If the PSU you got atm is powering your GTX fine then should power a G92 since it wont use much more power.
