So Tegra X1 looks awesome, all that performance in a chip with around a 10w power envelope is quite amazing, could we ever see a desktop variant of it? A small PC build like Intel's Nuc, Gigabyte Brix or Zotac's Zbox. I would buy a mini PC Tegra X1 in a heartbeat is this a possibility?

Is that a joke? That performance at 10watt is hardly good for a next gen chip.

Hmm, show me another 10w chip that can perform as well.

I cannot show you any other 10w chip as there are no other mobile chips that have to drain 10watts. 10watts in the mobile world is considered an extremely poor chip that will kill your battery.

Most mobile chips run at 3watt or less. The GT7900 should run at well under 10watt and higher performance then the X1.

Broadwell-U which has max TDP of 15W with HD6100 would destroy the K1.

Ah right I see what you guys mean. Poor performance relative to it's watt VS other mobile chips.

Yeah I was just thinking of a desktop capable device in a NUC type thing. Maybe Broadwell with next gen Nvidia MGPU would be a better bet.
