Recently my SLI'd 8800GTX's have died completely, so I bought a 5770, and am confused about how I will get it to work. The problem I have is, how do I uninstall the current Nvidia drivers, if I cannot get a picture up on the screen because the 8800's do not work?

Can I just plug in the 5770, and it will display a low res picture, so I can uninstall the drivers and install the ATi ones?

Thanks

Start in safe mode would be my guess.
It seems strange that both cards have died? Have you tried with just 1 8800 GTX?

I'd start in safe mode, uninstall the nVidia drivers in Control Panel.

Then run something like DriverSweeper through to clear the remains out.

Then reboot into normal Windows and install the ATI drivers.

Reboot and go.

Pop the new card in and boot it up. It should default to a lower res even without the correct drivers.

Then you can remove the nvidia ones.
