Nvidia to end driver support on everything up to GTX 780ti / Titan...

This isn't even true. Kepler will continue to be support by less frequent driver updates for three more years.

As reported by Phoronix, the NVIDIA R470 series drivers are labeled as LTSB (Long-Term Support) for the Kepler GPU series and as such, will maintain support for the said architecture for 3 years
Has everybody lost the ability to read beyond sensationalised headlines?

'Effective October 2021, Game Ready Driver upgrades, including performance enhancements, new features, and bug fixes, will be available for systems utilizing Maxwell, Pascal, Turing, and Ampere-series GPUs. Critical security updates will be available on systems utilizing desktop Kepler-series GPUs through September 2024'
