Autumn? Dammm what's the chances of getting the high end cards by end of the year then? Never mind flagship cards? I was saying this for ages anyway flagship cards will be 2017 but loads of people shooting me down saying end of this year. I think early(Q1) 2017 is still optimistic.

It doesn't necessarily mean the 1070 and 1080 wont come before that. In fact the "X60" card normally does come out later than the flagships/higher performance parts.

So were approaching start of Q2 where would you expect the high end cards to fall?

end of Q2 start of Q3? Then mid range falls after this?

i have my doubts tbh

I assume we will almost certainly see the 670/970/680/980 equivalent cards before the end of the year. Would be very shocked to see a flagship new Titan card or Ti card this year. These flagship cards are not released too close to the mid range cards which are very profitable. I believe the flagship Pascal cards will come in the first half of 2017.

The first Maxwell card was the 750TI and it came out months before the big boys. I expect this will be the same with Pascal. The news item suggests it. I cant see the enthusiast cards coming out till 2017.

If the equivalent of a 970 beats it by atleast 25% and has atleast 8gb of RAM I may consider it. Otherwise I'll just wait for the HBM cards mid next year.

NVIDIA were so eager to release the 750Ti early because it was unheard of to have a capable 1080p card use so little power compared to the competition. Now with the 750Ti and 960 out, it will be underwhelming if they release another super low power card first. Mid range Pascal will be very appealing for those with 960/970 cards itching for an upgrade.

I think you have the cards mixed up. 750Ti was a special pipe cleaner card to get a bunch of OEM deals.

The GP106 will be the 960 replacement.
The 980 was released in September 18, 2014. The GM206 part was released 4 months later, January 22, 2015

The same will likely hold this time round. GM106 1060 card in September, with the GM104 1080 parts 4 months earlier in June.
