NVIDIA to Unveil GeForce GTX TITAN P at Gamescom

Can't belive anyone would be excited about the Titan after the last one.... Ti came out not long after for the same performance at a fraction of the price. The 1080Ti is where it's at. ** edited.. stop baiting ***

Actually 4 TitanXs is about as good as it going to get, they are a lot faster than a pair of 1080s and most likely faster than a pair of 1080 Ti's when they show up.

I was lucky enough to buy mine on launch day and they have been giving great service gaming ever since.

Nope, sorry bud. I stand by it. I think you would be crazy to buy a Titan knowing that a 1080Ti is 99% likely shortly after, at a fraction of the price and the same performance. Not to mention you are shelling our £1000+ for a reference blower lol.

I will always pay the extra money for the Titan when it comes to gaming as the extra memory on the card gives it a very long service life and therefore value for money.

Minding my own business? Is this not a Discussion Forum? Where people create threads to DISCUSS said topic? lol?

I didn't call anyone names. I said (generally speaking) that the Titan was a mugs card. Hardly a direct attack on anyone is it? Sure people are entitled to thrown their money out the window or use it as loo roll if they want. Doesn't mean I won't call them out for being silly. Same way if someone asks for help, I will try my best. Welcome to the worlds of forums. Full of opinions.

So you are calling me a mug then as I have got 8 Titans in total.

It's nothing to do with Price in of itself. And you know fine well that's not the case. I'm saying (and have made very clear) That I believe its a silly buy because the Ti is the same performance for much cheaper. You know fine well that's what I mean.

Sure if the Titan was the only card in it's performance category, then charge/pay what you want. As I keep being reminded It's your money, do what you want with it.

My point is to buy a Titan, when you know a card of the same performance, from the same company is just round the corner is daft. Nothing to do with the price of the Titan, more the fact you are being ripped off because they will soon launch the Ti that will make your Titan look like....well....a stupid purchase.

The Titan and Ti are not in the same performance bracket and not even in the same market segment.

The Ti is for single or dual use and the Titans are for high resolution mGPU setups.

Horses for courses.

The thing I find strange about people going on about the price of the original Titan was NVidia had an even more expensive card on the market that was at the same performance point and no one even commented on it.

The GTX 690

Dual core cards like that generally are more expensive. It was also the card that introduced their high end "thermal".

They introduced a few thing that are still in use today like the styling.

You would never guess from all the moaning about prices that the very old cards in the pic are a lot more expensive than the brand new ones lol.

Anyone who purchases a Titan for gaming is wealthy, not only on a global scale, but among PC gamers. Who are already in the wealthy group in terms of disposable income. That's not insulting. Run to your safe space if you need to, but Titan's are ridiculous. Nice cards, but way to expensive to make any kind of real sense. Free speech is wonderful, is it not?

I am not wealthy at all, in fact I do a boring factory job.

I also don't drive where as most of the people on these forums do. A lot of those that do drive will spend far more on their cars than I will ever spend on PC parts.
