nvidia update

ok well everytime i go to play css my computer freezes and i have to turn it off and when i load it up again it says the problem is that i need to update my nvidia driver i downloaded the driver and half way through installing it, it says 'The NVIVIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit' what can i do? i want to play css

How did you uninstall your old drivers?

add/remove programs

You gave it a reboot after you uninstalled the old ones right (and cancelled found new hardware prompts before you used the driver .exe you downloaded)?

What is the card you are using? Perhaps try an older set of drivers, particularly if your card is quite old.

i removed nvidia drivers with 'add/remove programs' should i be removing nvidia wdm drivers too?

My CSS will freeze resulting me to switch it off aswell...erm i dont get a nvidia driver warning when i turn on the pc though...
