Nvidia Users Beware, Latest Drivers May Damage Your PC

I think i'm one of these people struck by this bad luck. It appears my system updated to the new drivers without me knowing. Not sure if it was Geforce experience or not. Anyway lastnight my pc acted up so i restarted it now it stuck in a boot loop. I tried all sorts even clearing cmos which might of made things worse... Now fans spin up for a second and pc shuts straight down. Good times since switching to nVidia not long ago lol.

Can you use Win10 to get into safe mode and run DDU ?

..i would be ****** if my 980ti went puff. Considering im using a MK-26 on an asus reference board i wouldnt be surprised if i had issues RMAing if the drivers killed my card considering Asus doesnt allow for heatsink removal. It shouldnt be possible to nuke a card through drivers. Considering the whole "limit overclocking so nvidias users dont burn out their gfx's" bs i find this a bit funny...in a sad way. Reverting to 362 and thanks for the heads up.

here we go again, dubious website and anonymous forum posts claiming end of the world for old nvidia cards. im on a gtx670 on the new drivers and no issues what so ever, same as when this allegedly happened last year.

news flash electronics can crap out at any time be it 6 days old or 6 years. obviously the older they are the more chance of it happening, more so if your over clocking your stuff and try to install drivers on top of your over clock. funny how some people think overclocking is safe as long as it works.

I'm really thinking about switching to Nvidia, AMD drivers suck, game ready drivers missing on launch of a new game. AMD need to catch up and kill my graphics card or windows install on the day a new game launches rather than just provide stable drivers that run new games just fine even without any special profile for them.... thank god Nvidia drivers are so superior.

Get over it Charlie, yes Nvidia got one over on you and you didnt like it. Suck it up, grow up and try and ****ing move on.

Some of us NVidia owners may poke fun at the company when something like this happens but it is still a very serious matter for people who have to deal with the problem.

You don't own any NVidia cards and have no intention of ever getting any which makes your post unpleasant to say the least.

The only person on this forum that seems immune to trolling.

So you post in this thread making a joke about the drivers and it's fine, but I post a joke and you attack my post.... yeah, it's my post that is unpleasant, not yours.

You consistently attack AMD, you have a go at their drivers while proclaiming the almighty Nvidia flawless. Your first post is attempting to make light of the situation then you see my post and the one time you admit Nvidia users have a serious problem it's a smoke screen to attack my post. If it was so serious and horrendous to make a joke about explain your own post making a joke about it in this very thread.

Not at the moment as i went to bed when i found my self sighing and saying **** this i cba dealing with this before bed.

At the moment my computer is just bootlooping i cant even get to my bios options. Before it would just boot loop but i could atleast get to my bios options at times. I tried clearing the CMOS because i thought that might help however i got a screen saying something about dual bios and it flashing and it said change to BIOS " A ".

So at present fans just spin up and pc turns straight off and keeps doing this constantly. Will try changing bios switch later today after work and see how it goes. Hoping it's not just bricked my Mobo lol.

OFC this happens when i move over to nVidia lol just my luck.

I thought i had auto updates disabled but that might have been before i did a fresh install of Win10 lol.

Anyways ill update if i can fix this later when i get home from work.

Count to 10

Read your last post

Ask yourself if it contains any logic whatsoever.

Now you have had your rant perhaps you could do something useful like trying to help people posting in this thread.

Most people who read and post in these threads do so because they either use NVidia cards or want to help, we look forward to your positive contribution.

Do you have a dual monitor setup ?

Nvidia drivers currently fupping my Acer V17 Nitro Black Ed. (W10, it was working fine for a few months since upgrading) It has a GTX 960M but the installer keeps failing and I can just about manage to get the driver installed but physix and other parts of the install fail.
