• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Nvidia, WTF have you done??!

They’re not stupid, they know most will just bend over and take it. No high-end alternative at the moment anyway so it’s a good time to be doing it. Then they can use all your lovely information to make even more money.

I don't know why the complaints, when you still buy their cards lol.

If i didn't like anything, i wouldn't buy it, so stop complaining, as you're obviously fine with it :D

+1 It's like wtf Nvidia and here's my money any way. I know some bought there cards before this went live but to those that bought after it's suck it up and be quiet :D:D:D.

This^

I only download the drivers. The rest is crap

Actually it isn't.

There is no better alternative to recording in-game footage with virtualy zero extra system load at any resolution. This is where GFE (AKA: ShadowPlay) is unmatched. AMD doesn't even have a competing product.

Turn off game sync, turn off twitch streaming and that's all that needs to be done.

So, in your opinion the ideal solution is to travel back in time and not buy the card?

Or have learnt from Nvidias previous behaviour that would suggest a move like this is completely unsurprising.

Nvidias been "at it" for years now.

I personally refuse to give Nvidia my money because what I have seen over the past 2 years or so. scandal after scandal. Total disrespect for it's customers. Abuse of marketplace dominance, gimping games for AMD users with hidden tessellation, gimping older cards, etc etc.

Anyway I digress. My stubbornness is keeping me out of the high end until Vega hits. But thats my prerogative.

Could care less about recording game footage. For me I download drivers only.

Best no competition and I want to be able to play GTA V and all the latest goodies at least 60fps 1440p.

AMD does have a competing product. It's called Raptr/ Gaming Evolved.

Meh, make a google account for it.

The entire internet is obsessed with making you make an account, and always has been. See Quora, or just about any forum you ever wanted to see a link/picture/download for.

People have been making up fake details for the above for years.

Those of us who go back a bit remember the time when everyone was actively encouraged to use fake details for everything online in order to improve privacy and security.

It's only in the last decade or so that's become much less common due to the relentless campaign against security and privacy. Politicians and lobbyists are opposed to security and privacy because it reduces their power. Businesses are opposed to security and privacy (apart from the few selling it) because it reduces their power and profit. Nobody with any clout supports security and privacy.

Of course I don't use fake details and neither do my half a dozen fake identities because only criminals and terrorists do that. I know that because Big Sister told me so and I love the doubleplusgood Party and know everything they say is absolutely true.

Yep, back in the day you would be considered a moron if you told people real name online. But now the internet is mostly populated by morons, so it's considered normal :/

I ALWAYS use fake details unless it's billing/payment related.

At least you can install the drivers without an account. I only use it for Shdowplay, and not very often at that. I created an Nvidia account, took 5 mins.
