I have recently started using a 2nd display which is working great when on the desktop and web browsing and such. Problems start when I try to game, at the moment I just revert back to 1 monitor in the nView control panel when ever I play a game.

Is it possible to lock a game to 1 monitor so when the cursor goes to the edge of the screen it does not go onto the 2nd display? I like to have a few windows open on the 2nd display while gaming on the 1st but in doing this it messes games up as when I move the cursor off the edge the game doess not scroll sideways (C&C 3 Sup Com as examples) it just puts the cursor onto the 2nd display.

Hopefully someone understood that and knows what I mean, any way to do this or is it just wishfull thinking on my part?

I don't know if you can do it in nView but you can definately do it using Ultramon. I have it set to do just that. It's not free but does the job well and has many features.

I've never had that problem though with games as the mouse is locked to the primary monitor in my games. Mind you, i've never played C&C3 or Sup Com.

The Beta version they have up for Vista seems to work fine and it did what I wanted perfectly. I can lock the mouse to the main monitor and it will now scroll games in all directions as if the 2nd monitor is not there, Thanks Mark.

30 day trial if anyone else wants to give it a try.

would it be possible to make it so that if you push a button on your keyboard it flicks you over to the other screen?

There are quite a few hotkeys you can assign 2 of them are move mouse to next monitor and move mouse to previous monitor, is this what you mean?

Well just tried it and I can set it so when a key on the KB is tapped it will jump the cursor to the next screen. Which proberly takes longer to do than just moving it unless you have a row of several monitors.

Oh I think I know what you mean now, if I lock 1 monitor can I tap a key and jump over to the next, nope it just sends the cursor to the far edge of the screen, but it takes miliseconds to unlock faf about on 2nd monitor and then relock.

Proberly should have put this in Monitors, my bad
