hi guys my pc done a windows update yesterday and then rebooted not sure if it was a system hang or not so checked the even viewer and got the current error:
The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\00000097
Error occurred on GPUID: 100

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

any ideas on what could be or should i DDU the driver and re install the latest?

Sounds like the update has corrupted something in the Graphics driver or removed the original one to update to the new one via windows update and hasnt completed correctly.

As above download and run ddu and install the latest from Nvidia website.

Is that actually listed as an error? I mean, what I'm asking is, does it matter? The event viewer is full of junk. If your PC is working normally now, I'd just ignore it.

Really? So don’t worry about event viewer errors unless you get a BSOD or a system hang?

Pretty much.

The errors I definitely don't ignore are WHEA entries.
Sorry for the newbie question but what do they come under or will it say whea? Also what about kernel power ones I’ve had them in past but no shutdown but not sure if that’s to do with windows fast startup being a pain

Yeah, that's likely due to fast start up, I fix it by turning it off.

I create a custom filter for whea errors and when I look at the event viewer, that's the main one I check.
