Any ideas how to fix this error? i have the newest drivers from nvidia 163.75.

Vista home premium 64bit.

Also when i try to change my desktop resolution my screen goes like this:
Image002.jpg

It does this when i try to start playing a game and the resolution isnt the same as the desktop also.

Well i guess no one knows, but ive since found out that if i change the desktop bit depth to 16 instead of 32 then i can change resolutions with no problem and games start up no problem, just the desktop looks crap on 16bit.

The easy fixes for it can be to remove your video card overclock (if your clocking it ofc).
Try different drivers.
Make sure the motherboard drivers are up to date.

I used to get this with the early nvidia drivers, and then when I had dreamscape running. Its not happened in 6+ months though.

Ah I believe I know a solution for this; it caused me a lot of grief when I first installed Vista.

1) Go to your system32 folder and locate "nvlddmkm.sys". Rename it to "nvlddmkm.sys.old".
2) Go to your nvidia directory and copy the file "nvlddmkm.sy_" to your system32 folder.
3) Then open up the command prompt and type: expand.exe C:\Windows\system32\nvlddmkm.sy_ C:\Windows\system32\nvlddmkm.sys
4) Now restart the computer. The problem should have disappeared. :)

This may not be of any help whatsoever, but it solved the problem for me.
