NVMe and windows install

not sure exactly where to post this so apologies if its in the wrong thread.

anyways im just awaiting my 1st nvme m.2 drive to be delivered today from ocuk.

is there a certain way to setup the drive or is it basically attach the ssd and install windows and away you go???

just have to check your windows install boot method works okay.

yeah installing from USB stick, was working fine as i reformatted the pc last week and installed windows on my sons pc the week before.

i just wasnt sure if there was any specific settings etc as i remember i had to enable ACHI or similar when i first went to ssd.

so basically just plug it in and install windows

Yes, assuming you're using 8.1 or 10.

windows 10 and i thought so just wanted to double check save having to reinstall windows at a later date
