GK5CP6Z pc specialist NVMe issue

Hi all.

I was hoping someone could help. I have a 2019 PC specialist recoil. It has the i7 9750h and 1660ti.

The board has 2 NVMe slots and 1 SSD in which one of the NVMe ports is shared with the SSD.

On first boot everything worked fine. However once I allocated the space within disk manager and shut the laptop off the next time I came to turn it on the laptop wouldn't post.

I've tried swapping ports. Cloning the SSD to the NVMe tried with both installed and even a intel nvme. If there is a NVMe installed it won't post.

I've hot swapped the NVMe and it does show In windows. It also works fine with a caddy.

I've tried updating the drivers but no success. Tried secure boot on and off and checked im not running in legacy.

I've even tired to find a bios however been unable to find one. I'm currently on what is apparently the latest version of 1.04.

I'm currently unsure what else to try. Wondering if anyone else has had a issue like this and what your fix was?

Thank you.

What drives in what slots?

I assume you've tried JUST the old windows drive in the (assuming its) nvme only port?

Anything else done in windows? Curious if it's failing to post or might be the windows bootstrap is screwed.
Have you tried booting from a windows install USB stick and get into the repair options in that? (Will test if it's post or windows boot for sure too).

Hi I have made some process.

It's currently a independent NVME slot along with a shared SSD / NVME port which is shared along with the SSD drive.

Currently the original drive is a SSD and I wanted to swap over to two NVME drives instead.

Currently the laptop is booting with 1 NVMe in along with the factory SSD. However If I even attempt to enter the bios I have to remove it. Turn it on. Install it. Turn it off and then back on and it will enable it. I installed up to date intel rapid storage technology drivers.

This has allowed me to get this far but naturally something isn't right. Bios files apparently I'm already on the latest so no option there. It's a very limited bios. The manufacturer is Tongfang GK5CP6Z. If I attempt to enter boot options it crashes.

Yeah, the tongfang are generally what a lot of the "custom laptop" places use as base chassis these days (used to be more clevo).
Bios/etc issues wise... more than I could help with, apologies and best of luck :)
