I am completely baffled now, must have tried everything by now and still can't see the NVME while trying to install Windows.

Setup:
Asus B660M Prime on latest BIOS
12100F
P3 Plus 1TB (also tried a SN850X 1TB)

Drive is plugged into the slot closest to CPU so M2_1, can easily see it in BIOS, but when I start Win10 install from the USB it keeps asking for driver and cannot detect the drive at all.
I tried - intel RST driver from their website, intel RST from Asus website, Crucial NVME drivers and nada.

I thought it may be a dodgy drive but the behavior is identical with the WD one so this seems to be something else. Suggestions?

Tried partitioning and formatting it in another machine? Or use a Gparted live USB drive if you don’t have another system with a spare M.2 slot.

Yeah.. simple does it.. Seems like my Media Creation USB was somehow corrupted (it was recent 22H2, made maybe a week ago) and after re-creating, I just run it with BIOS defaults, had to load RST driver during install and it went ok. Previously no matter what driver I selected it was falling over.

Case closed ;)
