Hi!

Just got a new system with only a Samsung 256gb Nvme (HD). I'm attempting to install Windows 7 64x but i'm being hit with the below error.

I'm installing Windows 7 via a USB through the Asus X-99 Pro mobo.

I've tried changing a bunch of bios settings as recommended on various forums but the error still persists.

Anyone got any suggestions?

I've updated the bios to the January 2016 update (as the Nvme wasn't being recognised before), it boots up the USB installation but when i click the 'Install' button (before choosing which installation i want) the error kicks in.

Windows 7 doesn't have the Nvme driver support by default so you would need to have them on a USB stick and tell it where the drivers are or slipstream them in to the OS drive.

only OS that has the driver support for Nvme is windows 8.1 or 10.

you can use a Windows 7 key to activate windows 10 now rather than having to upgrade from a previous OS which would be your best bet
