Hi All
I will be in NY for 4 days 29 Aug-2 Sept, been around 10 years since i was there last. I am looking for somewhere central to stay and near shops, diner/cafe's for early morning breakfasts.

Any recommendations i assume £600 for 4 days is too little ?

Thank you all there seems to be so many choices, more than i can remember from 10 years ago. I chose the Pod Times Square http://www.booking.com/Share-nM7X4K which is at £670 for the 4 days. Breakfast wise i am in midtown, the place for a real foodie :):D just need to find those american breakfast diners ..

Can heartily recommend this place in that case. We had breakfast there 6 out of the 7 days we were in New York, and it was excellent every time.

The day we didn’t go to there, we got salmon and cream cheese bagels and a coffee each to eat in Bryant Park from a corner deli, and that cost more than a full breakfast in the diner!

wow :) thank you, love the menu and prices and only 2 min walk from the POD hotel. I can see me gaining some kg very quickly :D

just revisiting this thread for a November 2022 update. I was considering the following hotel but it is in the financial district which is quite a distance from the pod where I stayed previously

Anyone been to NYC recently and have any valuable recommendations ?

thank you everyone managed to get a deal with my marriott points on the springhill suites. Great location for me staying in mid-town lots of good breakfast diners about which fill you up until dinner

pity that the century21 store is no longer around , BF sales have already started seen many deals online which is good as I can get items ordered direct to the hotel.
