Just to report that I got one of these the other day and its has significantly reduced the tempurature of my 360. My room temperature averages at 26-27c and under 30mins of playing the side of the xbox is pretty warm, but after over an hour of playing with the intercooler installed the xbox is still only slightly warm. I realise that my tests are not scientific but I read quite a few reviews before buying this and all of them concluded that at worst the intercooler reduced the internal temps by 3-5c and at best by 10c. Bearing in ming that its retailing at £15 including free delivery from some online store its an absolute bargain!

HMMMmmmm. I still dont trust them. We concluded previously that its a silly thing [no offense] considering the direction of the fans and where they are located.

In theory its great but im just very sceptical if its doing more harm than good as conncteds directly to the xbox power shocket and then the power lead connects to the intercooler.

I'll definately wait until more people have used it before thinking of getting.

My xbox does get rather hot and the heat can only be a bad thing when it comes to electics so to keep it cooler is a good idea.

Yea I can see what your mean, but ive got it on the basis that it should prolong the life of the console. The onboard fan does a perfectly good job as we know becuase guys in the US are using it in temperatures upto 35-40c. When you are paying the best part of £300 pounds for a console, paying £15 to aid cooling is in the long run surely protecting your investement. But as they say each to their own and its not going to be to everyones taste!

More noise though? No thanks :)

If my 360 dies I will just get it swapped over. Its been fine since launch, and fine in the recent hot weather, so I have no reason to believe it will break due to anything temperature related anytime soon.

yea it does add to the noise but when uve got PGR3 going with surround sound you can't hear the 360 at all :)

Great, but not everyone is able to play games with the volume wacked right up ;)
