Hello all,

I've got myself setup with a server, running Sickbeard / SabNZBd and some other goodies.

The one thing I'm missing is automation based off strings... has anyone got some tools to achieve this?

Basically so that I could setup the server to scan for

FILENAME DD MM YY

The filename of the download is uniform for each release, only the date changes.

I did find one application called "Headphones", but not what I'm looking for tbh as I don't want albums. Also I don't think RSS feeds can help me as the ones I have found contain a load of other stuff I don't want downloaded.

Basically I want to setup the server to scan for:

Horticulture Weekly 25-01-11

then next day

Horticulture Weekly 26-01-11

Your best bet might be to consider setting up some sort of RSS feed with one of the NZB indexing sites. You can then plug that RSS feed into SABnzbd and it'll take care of it for you.

Seconded on the RSS feed idea.

My popcorn looks for certain strings within a RSS feed using feedtime, if it finds the ones I want then it pumps them into the NZBget queue.

The program isn't in the DB that Sickbeard uses?

Sickbeard is for TV series content only afaik.

I want a magazine pdf.

I'll give the RSS idea a go... but won't it download the entire RSS feed for that category > i.e. RSS\MAGAZINES\GARDENING?

Got a link to this popcorn tool? More importantly will it run on linux.

**EDIT**

Think I found an awesome tool.

Is anyone here good with post processing scripts for SabNZBd. looking to seperate my movies and tv series once they downloaded.

Why don't you use Sickbeard for TV series and Couch Potato for Movies, handles all the renaming of files and moving them to the relevent folders. Works fantastic :)
