Hey

I had been looking at getting this PSU. OCUK have it down as pre-order, everywhere has it as out of stock. One other retailer lists it as EOL.
Will this ever be restocked?
Does anyone know what the deal is. Haven't seen it in stock anywhere for some time, and I don't buy on a pre-order status.

I don't necessarily need a 1500W PSU, but do need more than 850W going forward. I'm more after this model as I've been comparing efficiency, and this one seems to have the best specs I've seem and at a reasonably affordable price. Was hoping maybe someone on here had spotted an article which might shed some light on the lack of stock for it.

I don't know anything specific about this PSU, but I'd say it is normal for a PSU to disappear from stock for an extended period (like 1 month+).

I think they make (commission?) them in batches and when they're sold out you have to wait for another run (if there is another run of them, since the platforms used/OEMs change semi-regularly for most brands).

I'd imagine this is more common outside of the typical range too (650/750-1000), since I'd expect the amount produced/sold to be much lower on these premium PSUs.

Shame really I do like the NZXT units you can get a 1200w for £120 which should be enough for most .

Another 1200w that's reviewing well is the Montech Century II 1200W PCIE 5.1 80+ GOLD Fully Modular ATX3.1 for £120

Most of the reason I wanted this one is that it has one of the lowest vampire power rating of any PSU I've ever seen tested, and one of the only Cybernetics Titanium rated units around. It's easily the match for the much more expensive Seasonic units, but at a much lower price. For sure the 1500W rating is mostly unnecessary, but given I'd have to go with something more than my 850W to move to a 5090, I was looking for something with realistically unlimited max rating too.

NZXT PSU stock is pretty poor at the moment. I have a list of them in progress for setups currently but I wont be investing my time into completing them until I can see some firm ETDs on stock.

I will ask the supplier again and come back to you later once I get a response :)

I got a response. There is stock inbound and there should be some availability this month. Unfortunately I don't have firm confirmation on the models that will be available. Its all a bit vague still unfortunately.

Thanks! I'm quite keen on the c1500 because my current seasonic PSU doesn't have enough CPU/PCIE connectors. CPU takes 2 and GPU takes the remaining 3 but I need another connector to try and troubleshoot a motherboard ethernet problem.

Not many 1200-1300w PSUs have enough connectors for me and the ones that do are really long power supplies which are annoying for cable management.

The c1500 is 3cm more depth than my current PSU and has all the connectors I need.

sure thing. the C1500 is still out of stock at all of our suppliers with no firm ETA. I have checked with NZXT to see when the next wave of stock is due so I can secure some of it

I’ve been using the NZXT1200 for my 9800X3D/4090, runs like a champ and the fans hardly ever need to come on.
Hello
I have a NZXT c1200 gold i just bought and installed yesterday, today i am noticing audible clicks from the unit, seems to be almost like load switching on and off, but its when i move the mouse around, that sort of thing, happens both with button pressed for full time fan, and also with button unpressed for quiet dan until things warm up.

Do you experience anything like this?

I’ve never heard any clicks coming from my unit, you sure it’s not the CPU or a case fan reacting to a CPU temp spike as moving the mouse shouldn’t be enough to trigger the PSU fans turning on.

Did you buy the ATX 3.0 or the ATX 3.1 version?

If it helps, I have the C1200 gold ATX 3.1 version, and mine doesn't do this. So send it back if it's the ATX 3.1 version, as that proves there's a fault with yours.

I've also had the clicking noise on two of the C1500 units, this one has started today so I've already arranged to return it to the rainforest only had it 9 months. I've gone for a Corsair HX1500i Shift this time, got a corsair case and hubs and it reviews well so decided to go for that now after the carry on I've had with these. The first one I had seemed to click when I charged anything via USB-C cable such as my iphone, the second one today just started during a game, shame as spec-wise it's good!
