Hello, I have had a massive amount of trouble getting a broken fan controller on an NZXT Phantom 410 replaced. I have now given up after months of trying and being ignored or abandoned by their customer support. What are my options?

Can I contact Trading Standards about this and get some help from them or will the fact that it is only a computer case be small fry for them?

Safe to say I'll never by an NZXT product again though. This has been horrendous. Was told 2 weeks ago I'd get a reply in 24/48 hours.

Nope, It was bought from another etailer (sorry). Also cannot make do without the PC and cannot remove the motherboard due to threaded motherboard stand-offs so cannot return via the store.

Put a small screwdriver behind the standoff and tap it a few times, the standoff will push out. Do this for all standoffs one at a time and be sure to get someone to hold the mobo so it doesnt fall out.

Ive had to do this mannny times and its the easiest way.

If its under a year, contact the Company you got it from.

I cannot return it as we cannot be without the PC. This is simply not an option. It's an easy fix and they had already agreed to send me a new controller and side panel. They just seemed to have completely dropped me. I'm not going without a PC for over a week and pay silly amounts of shipping when all they need to do is send me a controller.

Have you tried contacting the place you purchased it from and ask if they can do anything. They will likely have contacts at the company. ?You might just be able to send the fan controller to them and let them send it to NZXT.

I doubt there is anything you can do directly with the NZXT, your contract is with the etailer.

I agree. Surely being without a computer wouldnt kill you?

i had to deal with them once. i got a good result.
i have a nzxt case, and the front illiminated fan just dropped off two fins.
i contacted the seller (not ocuk) and they were not interested. :(
i found a nzxt forum, posted in there that i may rma the whole case, over a £10 fan, they agreed once i showed them proof of purchase, and sent me a new fan from the US :)

I'm now at least 7 months into trying to get this sorted, it is a known issue with the Phantom 410 having a faulty fan controller. I've been sending emails to their customer support regularly every month. I also have an issue with my Phantom and 2 fans that I purchased for it but can't even be bothered trying to get those sorted after all this hassle.

I don't see any point in contacting the seller as they will just request I send the case out, which I shouldn't have to do considering I have videos of the fan controller being faulty, and NZXT have already said they are willing to replace the controller after about 6 months of effort on my part to get a reply alone. Now it's been 2 weeks and I should have gotten a reply 12 days ago. Am I really the only one that seems to think this is bad?
