I've run out of Mobo fan headers, so I have been looking at the NZXT Sentry LXE Touch Screen External Fan Controller.

I am going to buy some Corsair SP 120 fans, but do I just buy the 3 pin and stay away from the 4 pin, due to the PCI card interface on the fan controller?

The LXE uses 3pin connectors that aren't open faced. You could modify the connectors to take 4 pin plugs but you're not going to benefit from having the PWM anyway so it's probably a good idea just to go for 3pin fans.

Although I'm extremely happy with my LXE, just be aware, it's a ball-ache trying to get the cables tidy inside your rig. There are 11 cables in total, 5 fan, 5 temp sensors and power.

Cool, cheers for that.

I have a Corsair 540 case, so the extra chamber should provide good storage to hide those pesky cables ;)
