Any one thinking of trying these with their GFX, not sure they would be any better than the custom coolers but if you had say a h90 or the kraken x40 knocking about it might be easier to cool a reference card rather than going fully WC.

I might upgrade the H50 on my CPU to the H110. Do you think the H50 would be good enough to keep the R9 290 cool?

I was looking at a review of it, in furmark I think the VRM hit 112 celsius :eek:

If you want to use the G10 you will need to buy a heatsink for VRM.

and this review is the one i have seen about the g10 and the vrm temps are very good with no heatsinks.
I have the g10 on pre order with a Corsair Hydro H55 Quiet Liquid CPU Cooler. Hope the stock isnt too much longer as really want to get this tested and i will be uping a review when i have mine

A good test on the g10 it could be worth it for 290/290x users for the reduced cooling and noise at high loads and still good cooling wise for the higher end nvidia titan/780ti but at the cost of extra noise.

MMM but not as good as the other review i see when looking at vrm temps, very different results from the two sites.

Will it be enough for my vrm temps after all.....

I think you'd have to look into getting sinks for the vrms as well to really get the best out of it.

its strange how different reviews get so dramatically different results, the review i linked to had no sinks on the vrams and temps were supposedly excellent, guess we will only truly know once the community sets one up at home.

It depends what load you're putting through the GPU. Pugetsystems weren't running games to push their VRMs to 112degrees but benchmarking the thing, possibly using a torture test. The second the Kraken G10 comes into stock I'm fitting it to my board with a spare ThermalTake Water 2.0 I have kicking around, with heat sinks fitted to the VRM and VRAM modules. But getting hold of one is freaking impossible!

Ive cancelled my pre order been far too long now and im not sure what results are going to be like, so going to sit tight and wait and see.
