I was looking to get one of these. Just wanted to see if anyone here has one and what their experiences with it where like.
thanks

they look interesting but I read that there is no individual speed control apparently

I just bought one so will let you know how I get on. I don't need individual fan control just needed something for all my case fans.

+1+1+1 PLEASE!

Looking at getting one for a mates build and another for me. He has a 340 and Ive a 440.. so no drives bays! Dont need individual controls, just either need them high or low!

Bit late on here and opening it up from the grave!

I have just brought the GRID+ at it is really good. The thing is tiny and fits nicely out of the way. Works tremendously well and where my fans were running at 100% off the fan hub in the H440, they are now at 45% and increase when the temperature does. Really is silent and works well with the CAM software.

I happily would buy one of these,if they supported 4-pin fans as standard.

What were they thinking making all the headers 3 pin :|

It comes with 2 adapters to convert a 3-pin on the Grid+ to a 4-pin and a 3-pin. Can't say how well they work as I've only got 3 x 3-pin fans attached to mine.

I would say it works very well if you can live with the limitations:
  • Minimum fan speed is 40%
  • Can only set fan speeds and temperatures at 10C intervals
  • Speeds do not smoothly adjust - so if you set 50% fan at 50C and 100% fan at 60C, your fans will jump from 50% at 59C to 100% at 60C, then back to 50% at 59C

Personally, it works for what I want it to do - change my case fans based on GPU temperature, and I can work around the issues above. I was previously using Speedfan and my motherboard headers to do the same job, but with better control as you can set 1% and 1C intervals with Speedfan, but my new motherboard doesn't support Speedfan, so the Grid+ does for now.

One thing that did surprise me, the 3-pin headers on the Grid+ are inset quite far. I plugged the first fan in, decided to move the cable and couldn't get anywhere near the plastic end. In the end, I had to pull on the fan's cable to get the connector out, which was a secure fit and I had to use a fair bit of force. I thought I'd damage the cable, but it came out and went back in still in one piece. Definitely wouldn't recommend if you want to frequently unplug fans from it.
