What do people think of this case?

Some reviews out there say it's the best midi case around. But the Gamers Nexus review made me think it was more style over substance.

I'm heavily leaning towards buying the H500M but still open to suggestions.

I was close to upgrading to the H500 a few years ago when it came out, but was ultimately disappointed with its performance. The H500M has addressed those issues mostly though.

I have been very happy with my current NZXT case, had it for around 7 years now. It is huge and has excellent air flow as I have four 200mm fans on it all setup in bios to run without hardly any noise under normal use (can’t hear mine unless I get very close to the case) and then ramps up the fans as I play games and the sensor around the GPU picks up the increased heat. Very nice setup with no software needed :)

I think currently I would go for the H500M out of the two. If I was not so happy with my current setup, I would do this. I still might in a few years, just can’t be asked right now.

Was just thinking, none of these cases come with integrated case lighting. I enjoy changing the colour of inside my case. Right now have it on red. When I am on an Nvidia GPU I go green. Have also used it as many other colours the past 7 years. Helps keep the case fresh. Yeah I think I will be keeping it for another 3 years so that way will have had it for 10 years. Maybe by then there will be better cases out there, not that I am holding my breath, things move so slow.

An improved H500M with integrated lighting and usb 4 on front panel in 2023 would be very appealing :D

So did you buy a case in the end? If so which one and how does it perform? :)

Yes I bought a P400a. It was half the price of the H500M so I couldn't justify the expense even tho money aint a problem.

It's a nice case. Very light compared to my original one. I will post images later.

Ah fair enough. That is how I feel also. Fancy something new sometimes, but can’t justify the expense when the case I have has very good cooling and does the job just fine. Hell I could end up in a position where I end up with worse airflow by upgrading. Lol.

This is baffling part. Air flow is great with this case. But I was shocked to feel how warm the case was after a 30 min gamign session.

My old case was a Thermaltake Case Armor VA8003BWS
had terrible airflow but was huge so I think that internal volume helped with temps.

This new case has much better airflow but a smaller internal volume so I think heats up quicker.

Interesting, as one of the appeals of a new case to me was something smaller as my case is huge. Got two 200mm fans at the top and a 140mm at the back extracting heat and got two 200mm fans one at the front and one on the side pulling in air. All works very well.
