Hi guys, I have a 7 year old Titan Scythe Overclocker system and the 200mm top fan makes some fantastic rattling sounds intermittently, I've researched as much as I could to find the replacement and it seems the model is 'FN-200'. FS-200 would potentially fit as well I believe, but FZ-200 is incompatible according to various sites.

However, I haven't found anywhere I can purchase a replacement from except one EU site that is charging something in the region of £40 which I'm not willing to pay if I'm honest.

I know some people have mentioned Noctua fans could work, but I get the impression NZXT designed the case to only be compatible with their own products, so don't particularly want to risk it!

I've recently cleaned the entire system, and I was able to completely detach the fan and clean thoroughly, and I do occasionally put a few drops of sewing machine oil into the ball bearing hole at the top which does seem to help for a time, but it can get a little bit distracting.

Could anyone recommend anywhere?

Thanks in advance,

Jules

Edit: On closer listening, it could actually be some of the other smaller fans, think those are 120mm ones.

Hey man does the 200mm fan use a standard 3/4 pin connecter or is it proprietary?

If it is you could look for them on aliexpress i've had some success in the past not particularly with 200mm but worth a look.

Hi, it's a 3pin connector. If I'm honest I could probably just replace the 2x 120mm fans and the 200mm to be on the safe side, but I'm even struggling to find a model number for those!

Not familiar with aliexpress, but I'll take a look, thank you.

Looking at pictures it should just be a standard size 200MM fan. I bought a Bitfenix one to replace the dead Corsair one in my old 600T. I can see on another forum someone says a Coolermaster Megaflow 200MM fitted in their Phantom. I can see someone has fitted Noctuas as well.

Also just a reminder not to mention competitors because you may earn a holiday if a moderator sees it. :)

Thanks, Google comes up with a few links for the fs200 fan directly with OCUK, but it's a dead link probably because its so old so no surprises really. I might look into the other makes or just email OCUK and see what they say. Cheers.

You may need a 4pin fan as the 3pin fans you buy may not even start at slowest speed on your controller (I had that case and now the Phantom 630 so know this), sometimes it will start at middle speed but stop after few mins if you put back to min speed.

Noctua 3pins fans cannot run slow enough so I got the 4pin Noctua fans as I tried it with a 140mm rear exhaust fan and found the same and same again with a 60mm fan on my Ext HDD Caddy.

I just fitted 3x Noctua 200mm Chromax Fans to my Phantom 630 but had to cut away some corners on 2 of them to fit due to indentation/shallow recess in case where fans sit (if Noctua made it rounder like the D15/S fan it would be fine).

I think the issue is the older Phantoms hole spacing but it is not down to NZXT, there is not any standard for 200mm fans unlike 80/90/120/140 that is why they disappeared till recently.
