Nzxt Phantom fan setup

All of my fans are plugged into the case fan controller and none are plugged into the motherboard.

So they are all manual, the only auto fans are the ones on my gpu.

Do you think I should set them up with the motherboard instead so i have automatic control? I've got 5 fans in total but only 4 ports on the board. Can you add 2 fans to one port?

Sweet! So do I need any extra power for 2 fans on one port or is that fine with just a splitter?
