So, the NZXT Phantom, nice case;
Shame about the colour...

I'd like to change the colour of one of these, but before I buy, how much of it will come apart?

How much is spot-welded on, how much riveted?
How much mearly screwed on?

Any insight on this would be GREATLY appreciated

Thanks :D

What colour are you wanting? It does come in a few variants.
From looking at mine, the vast majority of the exterior can be removed, with the exception of the feet (might be removable I've just never tried), and a strip of metal which makes up the frame of the case running along above the door and under the top plastic component. Otherwise of course you can remove the doors on both sides, the front and top are plastic and are easily removable.
Wish I could give you more details on the two areas I wasn't sure of, but someone else may be more helpful.
Perhaps a little black say, alongside the ideal colour of your choice would look good anyway.

As horrible as it sounds on paper, I'm going for an orange on the outside, I'm going get it powder coated and the I'd like the know how much will come apart for the painting & coating process so I can know if the case will allow me to get the coverage and be able to do enough of the interior etc.
So I was mainly wondering about de constructing the main frame of the case.
But knowing that the panels are easily removed not something stupid like glued on is a relief

Just noticed that you've linked to the 410 variant, didn't realise this before, but looking at the images I'd say it works in pretty much exactly the same way as the full tower Phantom.

The HDD cage is riveted I believe. I know the full tower version isn't removable anyway. Frustratingly, the secondary cage is only screwed in but I stripped one screw because they're loctited in.

Thanks everyone, every little bit helps, just wish I had somewhere near me I could get my hands on one for a look.
@Hathaway
I didn't link that variant, it's just the one that it links to when you type NZXT Phantom
