Planning on getting one of these cases but not sure which to get, the nzxt looks far better and has a fan control but i dont know much about the raven only that it has good reviews...

I'd say the Raven looks better, but it's all about personal preference.

Are you ever looking to Watercool? The Phantom lends itself to watercooling better than the Raven, but the Raven is leagues ahead on aircooling. It also has a window over the lack of window in the Phantom.

I'm pretty sure Silverstone's build quality is better than NZXT's as well, but can't comment from experience.

If it were my choice I think I'd get the Raven for air cooling, and a Shinobi XL or Elysium if I was looking to watercool.

I only use air cooling because i believe water cooling is too much bother, can the raven hold as many ssd's and hdd's as the nzxt phantom?

In my opinion the raven looks far superior.

Aesthetics are entirely subjective, so this point is kind of moot....

Also, OP are you talking about RV02 or RV03? RV03 is the newer (and better) version... You can also spray the gold bits on the RV03 if you don't like them.

Phantom spec says 7HDDs and 5 Optical Drives.
Raven RV03 spec says it supports 10 HDDs + 2 SSDs. However, it says 4 3.5" bays, and the other 6HDDs, have to be from 5.25 adaptors - no idea if it has the adaptors included or not. So realistically 4 3.5 + 2 SSDs.
Raven RV02 says it'll support 3 3.5 + 1 SSD

rv02, im buying a full computer off a guy and he has the rv02 as the case but i may get the rv03 off overclockers as you suggested.
