Which case will provide best air cooling performce, appreantly NZXT are claiming that if you install all the optional fans you will get a CFM of 650+!!!!!

plus which one is more futureproof, i want to know because i am building a pc soon and as you ca tell from my past post i want a case under £200 with best air cooling + no need for usb 3.0 ports because my mobo will have that.

I'd assume that claim would be made on the combined maximum of all the fans in the Phantom working together - it never happens that way.
From memory, a review I read says that the Phantoms CPU and GPU delta T with the fans that come with the case were only 3-4 off the HAF.

The Phantom looks so much better aswell. So go for the Phantom.

My first case was an nzxt rogue. It was not well built, at the end of its life I pulled it apart bare-handed to hide it in bin liners. I'm not a big guy, the build quality was just that bad.

I hope so. Until I see one in the flesh as it were I think I'll avoid the brand. I'm now using an akasa eclipse which is ugly as sin but built much like a tank, so think most cases are a bit flimsy. Pulling the welds apart by hand is poor though :(

Out of the two I'd vote for coolmaster.

The NZXT Phantom has been partly designed by a modder on bit tech, said website couldn't fault it. It has ample cable management if you look at the interior shots of it.

All this talk of them makes me want to replace my modded Antec 900 with one.

Yeah, I'll be getting a Phantom as soon as I have the cash for it... from what I've seen it will keep me sorted for the next 5 years... plenty of cooling - although side fans do tend to create disturbance, so I'm not sure how that will work yet, and as for cable management, I'm pretty sure reviews are saying there's about an inch of space behind the Mobo to do cable management...

I'll be getting one asap

wow, just looked at the phantom for the 1st time and have to say NZXT really look like they got their act together :) this is one to consider for the next build methinks.

yes I must agree, I love the thumbscrews they have.
I was looking at the lancool k62 the good thing they have is they have screwless stuff for everything hdd, opticals, even the pci slots and the psu, but it doesn't look as nice, looks more fragile, particularly that side window. I don't know about cooling though

No contest. Mmmmmmmm...

Durable plastic it certainly won't break not without force, by the looks of the case and features it has will win you over. You may notice the case short comings when water cooling your rig.

Mentioned before good space behind mobo for cable management, silent fans and handy controller for the fans what more can you ask for really
