NZXT Phantom

I'm not at home to check for you unfortunately but yes you are able to put a fan next to the PSU, a 120mm I believe..

NZXT's new range of led fans are out soon, they are already out in the US and I reckon it's just a matter of time before we get them over here. The model number goes a bit like NZXT FZ-120 led or FZ-140 led.

They should come in White, Red, Blue, Orange and Green.

HTH.

Yeah.. I've got one..

As far as I was aware, no, it doesn't have a bottom cooling fan. It has some holes there for the air flow of the PSU when its fan is bottom facing but you wont get one underneath it. Nor will you get one next to it (going forwards) as youve got the extra slots for HDD's there, which while yes are removable, the holes your left with do not match up with any size fans (I've tried)

Not the end of the world tho, doesn't really need it. I've got the spec in sig in mine and I cant say I've cleaned it out in about 6months, the thing is completely chocker block with rubbish and rabbit hair (with them living in the same room) and yet it keeps temps absolutely fine with all the standard holes for fans filled.

Dont know the model numbers of the fans off top of head but I just got the general nzxt ones.

Only reservation about the case would be that it is rattly. I find myself getting quite annoyed with the buzzing and vibrations through the case often enough for me to be punching it.

Other then that.. its great :) But, would I buy it again?.. Probably not.

Think I'd go for something a bit more.. solid. The Phantom's side panels are only thin aluminium, and the front is just plastic. Feels a bit more flimsy then I'd of wanted it to.

:)

thanks for this :)

yeah iwanna put the H100 rad at the top, with the 2x nzxt blue fans on the top, so they match and then the rad and then gentle typhoons on that as well, for the push / pull effect,

and thanks for the bottom cooling ting :)

i put a random 140mm fan in the front,

a http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-003-BX&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=1816

On the side

a 2nd nzxt 200mm on top

And a random 120mm on the back as I strapped my radiator to that for push pull effect.

Same here... 140mm at front, corsair H60 at the rear, 200 on the door and 200's at the top. I had to think about airflow, so I have rear fan in (cool air from outside over the rad), side fan in, front is in, and top 2 are exhaust.

could you mount it outside the case at the rear where the 120mm fan sits, then have the H100 pipes coming through the hole where the fan sits?

so you have a push / pull and the rad mount outside the case?

Not really. You would have to cut the mesh off where the fan sits and then you may not be able to fit the pump block through through the cut hole.

I got 2 200mm bitfenix spectre pros in my phantom. had to mod the fans a little bit to get them in. also only one of the screw holes line up, but i solved that with industrial strength double sided tape.

sorry for the crappy pic quality. my phone sucks lol

ah right thanks

so it doesnt fit well in the nxzt phantom case?

what if you remove the 200mm fans on top and then mount it? :S

There is no direct mount for the H100 at the top of the case. I have seen several mods using homemade brackets and zip ties to secure the rad and they seem to work fine.

But, in answer to your question, there is no simple/direct way to mount the H100 to the top of the Phantom. I use a H60 and that fits fine at the back of the case (just missing the side door fan).
