NZXT S340 colour edition mod

I bought one of these in blue because I didn't like the glossy finish on the standard black case. The colour edition has matte black all over which I preferred.

There is however a blue accent on the top front of the case where the air intake is. I thought I could live with it but every time I look at it, it annoys me. The blue is also much paler than it appears in the promo pictures.

I have no case mod experience. Does anyone have any suggestions for a novice to make this black? Or has anyone attempted something similar with one?

You'll have to take the case apart and see if there are any tabs or clips holding the trim piece on. If there are, simply remove and spray paint it whatever colour you want with a can of spray paint you'll get in any motorfactors for fixing dings and the likes in car paintwork. Get a paint for plastic though, it will say it on the can.

Alternatively you could warp the trim in something lile carbon fibre vinyl wrap, that would look really good imo.

Thanks for the paint tips. Where would you get the vinyl wrap from? That does sound cool, is that like the custom backings people get for their phones?

You'll find it on eBay. It's sold mostly for cars, interior/exterior features from what I can see. The good news you'll only need a small amount so it should be quite cheap.

Just had a quick look there and you can buy a piece 100 x 300mm for under £1!
